This lean-to was constructed by members of Camp Ahmek, however the exact construction year is unknown. A reasonably safe estimate would be sometime in the 1940's. Judging from the condition of the pine stumps and the dates on some of the inscriptions, it is estimated to be approximately 65-75 years old. Decades after it's construction a support pine stump was added on one side to prevent the lean-to from leaning to far. It is situated high above the lake on Canadian shield.
