This is the 2nd of two known P.O.W Camps in Algonquin Park. The other camp (known as Camp 10) is located on the extreme west side of Algonquin along the banks of the South River. Like Camp 10, this camp served as a prison and work camp for German captives in WWII. Several decades later there isnt much left here. Evidence of building foundations and other relics (bunks, etc) really add to the mystery of this location. I had tried to find this ruin back in 2012 but was unsuccessful, however when armed with new information I tried again and eventually found it.

If you would like to see this ruin as it appeared nearly 40 years ago, check out Bob & Diana McElroy's visit to the Spring Camp back in 1979.
