Yet another of the literally hundreds of logging dams that were scattered around Algonquin Park. This one, located at the top end of Big Trout Lake successfully raised the water levels enough in both Big Trout and White Trout Lakes that the McIntosh Marsh became passable - prior to the dam's construction, low water made it very difficult if not impossible to pass through McIntosh Marsh.
