I can't say for sure that this was an old cabin, however the construction and log placement are indications that it may have been a cabin. Interestingly, this ruin is mostly submerged in Hailstorm Marsh - which implies it was built before the dam at the end of Hailstorm Creek. Using the paddle to poke around under the water, I found what I believe top be the woodstove. I could not see it to verify, but the sound the paddle made when I hit it (about 10-14 inches under water) told me it was definitely metal or iron of some type. I can't help but wonder what else is hidden in these muddy waters.
